I can't think of much nice to say about Hillary Clinton at the moment even though I'm planning to vote for her in 2008 (that will be a later post), but at least she doesn't wander around knocking on peoples' doors.
I predict that the 2008 election will be Very, Very interesting from a religious point of view. The wheels may come off the Republican party. Or James Dobson may have a coronary.
[Btw, I'm not trying to be anti-Mormon here; every time I wear a white dress shirt I have people ask me if I'm LDS. It's unsettling: I must have picked up Mormon fashion sense without any of the belief.]
Vote against someone, that's what I say. I even voted against Santorum in the primary, which was quite a feat considering that there were no other Republcian candidates. But the new touchscreen voting machines we've gotten are so well suited to easy write-ins and I needed to practice using all the features. And Bob Casey probably doesn't mind a few votes as the Republican candidate.
Back on topic, I don't really mind who comes knocking on my door, as long as it's actually the candidate. I got to shake hands with one today at my polling palce. He seemed nice enough that had he come to the apartment I would have offered him a drink and let him sit a spell.
